Mr Pilot? who? That's my hubs :)
He used to call me his stewardess, so that makes him the pilot of course ;)
Thats when we were dating. He used to say i have a haircut of a stewardess which i totally disagree. LOL.
The man of my life is turning 26 on 26th April 2012. Thank God, i made the effort to go out and buy him stuff, even got a present for him by Adrian, and of course he knows nothing but mummy did all the work to make daddy's 26th birthday memorable as ever.
this is the first time he is celebrating with his own family. just the 3 of us :)
Gonna make it HIS day. Anything for him.

Investment I've made
So, today i have lots of free time. All alone with my baby boy and the daddy. Dad's looking after Adrian now, so mommy have time to write. I'm writing to keep myself sane. If you know i have been unemployed since August 2011. My time are dedicated to being a housewife and now a full time mommy. Enjoying every second of it, of course!
Lets talk money!
Its not cheap to have a baby. This is serious talk ok. I'll list down few of the basic things i bought for Adrian till now.
List of baby basic things:
1) Quinny Strollers - RM 1699.00
2) Maxi Cosi infant carseat - RM 899.00
3) Crib - RM 129.00
4) Baby cot (ikea) - RM 165.00
5) Mattress - RM 189.90
6) Sterilizers - RM 119.00
7) Bedding set - RM 259.00
8) Baby bath tub(ikea) - RM 25.00
9) Clothes - This is hundreds of ringgit
10) Milk bottle (NUK) - RM 20.00 (each) x 7
11) toys - hundreds of ringgit. toys are expensive
12) Baby bouncers - RM 69.90
13) Hospital bills (private) - RM 5000.00
14) baby checkups (monthly) - RM 100 - 300 ( depends on the injections)
You do the math ya :)
This are just the things i remembered cos the price is crazy. The expenses will go up once your baby grows, as they grow they'll need more toys, more milk, more clothes.
It actually depends on the brands as well, there's things out there that is cheaper, but i go for quality as it will last longer and maybe i can use it for my girl next time around =)
I was comparing with a friend who lives in NZ and he just have a baby too, and obviously raising a child over there its way cheaper than Malaysia. Their medical bills are covered by the government, clothes are cheap, baby's milk is waaayyy cheaper than Malaysia.
I was thinking to migrate but hubby is not keen about the idea ;( poor mommy!
Till then :) Be good ya'll!

Labor Pain
My delivery was way behind my due date. This is because my amniotic fluid was drying off so fast, that my baby cant stay any longer inside cause it will not receive enough nutrition. Therefore, Dr Susanna had to induce me at midnight.
I practically surrender myself to the hospital. Haha. I was warded and the nurse came to check my cervix and the opening is still 1 cm from last week, so she told me that she will put in a tablet in my vagina to stimulate the opening of the cervix.
After an hour, i started to feel light cramp getting serious every 30 minutes. Sleep through the night till its 6 am. Hubby was with me the whole time. Blessed :) at about 7 am they brought me to the labor room. Yes, lucky enough that hubby is willing to pay for the private labor room. hehehe yes yes single bedded room and private labor room just so that i wont feel stressed or annoyed but any other woman in the room. LOL
They took me to the labor room which is like 3 metre away from my room. Changed me into the hospital gown/robe. They put some IV in me. That IV turn to be a medication to get my cervix to contract more because after they put in tablet yesterday, the cervix opening is still 1 cm. After about 20-30 minutes i started to feel what they call CONTRACTION. No joke, i think u have serious period cramps? times that with 100000000000x
At this time, all of the family member was there. Instead of lying on the bed like a paralyzed woman, i told the nurse, i wanted to walk, so they put in another robe from behind so wouldn't look so obscene for me to walk and my butt is showing, right? Walking totally work to ease the pain! At some point I'll bend down a little bit and i get hubby to press on my lower back. (HELPS A LOTTTT)
After walking for I think, 30-40 mins, i was hungry. hahaha i shouln't be thinking about food at this time, right? but yeah i was HUNGRY ok! Food came in at 8.30 am. At that time, my contraction was getting worst every 1 minutes. Note: it was 8.30 am with contraction every fucking 1 minute.
Before eating, nurse told me that, i have to wait for doctor to come in to break my water bag so that i'll deliver faster. I was like yeah, yeah shut up! As i was eating, suddenly i felt water dripping between my legs, jeng, jeng, jeng ... my waterbag broke by itself =)
Hubs called the nurse and she was all like oohhh very good, no need doctor. You'll deliver soon. This was at 9 am. so i thought by 10 or 11am i should have Adrian in my arms already. Less did i know that my bloody cervix refuse to open up. At by now my contraction is every 45 sec.
The nurses then got me to lie down on the bed and strapped me to the CTG machine, Fuck this bloody annoying, as you cant move, your uterus is feels like someone is squeezing it so hard every 45secs. At that moment you just want to scream and yell at anybody that comes your way. They strapped me to the CTG cos my contraction was really bad and they want to monitor Adrian's heart rate to make sure that he is doing ok inside.
Doctor came in at 10 something to do check, she gave me Penthedine to ease my pain, at this point i'm already hooking myself with the laughing gas. LOL which hubby insisted that he wants to try but i was stingy to keep it to myself. hahaha.
Took the first jab of penthedine, awesome :) this thing helped me to relax a bit, took away that nasty pain away. after 2 hours or so, the effect started to go off and God, did i mention it dropped down to 30sec per contraction, still my cervix is only 6cm dilated.
around 12pm i requested for penthedine again and they were like, i can't give it to you unless with the consent of the doctor. i yelled at her and said, GET THE DOCTOR HERE! 5 minutes or so, she came in and say, she cant give me the jab cause i just took it, they have to normally wait for 6 hours for the next jab, hell did i care, i requested for it and she said ok! yeay! here i thought the effect will be the same as the first one.
I was wrong, the contraction was too strong, i can't feel the effect anymore. I was breathing on the laughing gas non-stop. At 3 pm, the nurse, Irene, came to check my cervix and she says its only 8cm . I am practically dying already at this time, Energy-less. I couldn't bear the pain anymore, hubby was rubbing my lower back non stop, but couldn't feel his pressure anymore. Pity him, scolded and yelled at him. Sorry baby!
When the nurse told me that its 8 cm, i was very stressed already, i then i inquired on the epidural, bear in mind, i was not keen of epidural. i didn't want to take epi. Told hubs to not let me take it. But towards the end i couldn't help it. Suddenly, she said let me help you to open up the cervix, because i was already stressed up and baby's heart rate suddenly dropped. I panicked. The nurse said, dont worry your baby will be out 3.30pm. Again, i ignored what she said.
I then said, i wanted to get up, i want to go to the toilet to pee, she said never mind i put in the tube, you pee on the bed, i refused. I insisted on going to the toilet, just cause i was ashamed of her. hahaha Then she said, you pee now then only your cervix can open up. I surrender, i let her put in the tube for me. i peed. Felt so much better. but the contraction was still there. haunting me every 30 secs. Then i feel like shitting, and i told her that i want to go to the toilet jugak cos i want to shit. She told me to shit on the bed. As i was quarreling with her, suddenly, the nurse yelled and paged the doctor, saying patient stressed, baby's heart rate dropped, call doctor! URGENT!!
5minutes later, i was already pushing my baby out. True enough he was born at 3.30pm. The nurse was right :) Adrian was born normally without epidural without vacuum without forceps. He popped out from my vagina healthily at 3.30pm in Damansara Specialist Centre!
Thank you darling hubby for all the effort, love and care you have given me. Thank you for being a great helpful husband to me and an awesome dad to Adrian Raphael. We love you, Daddy!
and.... Mommy and daddy surely love you the most Adrian!
Up next: total investment for having a baby.

Weekends: I'm not enjoying!
Sunday just ended. I have the suckiest weekends ever. I missed being around people that knows me, that care for me and above all, that love me.
Its just different here. All you've got is yourself and your baby. How miserable is that. But yeah, I'm enjoying every second with my son, thats for sure =)
I know why I'm like this... i miss Mak. i just miss her sooo much. things are not the same since she left. everything just went hay wired and nothing seems right anymore. Sad but life has to go on, ay? I'm sure she's in good hands :)
Nothing can beat a mother's love. Now that I'm a mother myself, i finally understand what my late mom used to say,' you wait till i die, and you know there's no one else that will love u like i do'. sound tragic, eh? it is. i was rebellious at that time. mom and i can never meet in the eye. i miss those times. i miss her so much.
and they say, in laws are your mother too. i beg to differ. nothing can come close to your birth mother, only she knows you by heart and only her, that will protect you over anything and i mean ANYTHING!
i swear that i will take care of my children with all the love in the world and never let them experience what i've gone through. i swear to let them marry people that love them and people who never look down on them and most important of all, people who are sincere with them.
Its getting late, Mommy is sleepy. Calling it a night.
Till then Mr Bloggie.

Let me tell you why
If you really desperately eagerly want to know, why i do not announce my pregnancy to the world. Read this.
I was pregnant, and yes, me, my husband, my family and his family are all over the moon. We are glad that God gave us him to add colours to our lifes. But as I've spoken to my friend, Aini, whats with announcement? What do you get?
You get people congratulating you for your pregnancy, telling you what you should do and should not do. Thats good. But remember, there's people out there that is not a friend but pretended to be. I'm not being bitter but sometimes I have to be since I've gone through it with many friendship that i in the end decided to end it.
They do not pray for your happiness, to them you are better of sad and unhappy with your life. Not everyone there prays for your happiness some pray for the other. I've seen people so excited on the arrival of the baby and in the end, they lost it. Yes, it is sad, i was saddened when i hear the news as well.
Its my life, I have the rights of letting who and who know. If you are close enough, you'll know. If you dont know, too bad. And plus i dont take facebook seriously anymore. So be it.

Pregnancy and Checkups
During my pregnancy, I watched all kinds of movies related to giving birth, labor pains, and babies. I've always known that labor pains hurts like hell. I've seen both my sisters go through it, but yeah their stories is not the same. As what they say, everybody will not experience the same kind of pain. It differs. So, here i thought by watching those movies, it'll help me go through it well.
Not just that, hubs even bought me books for pregnancy before and after. It teaches me on how i should sit during my contraction, what kind of painkillers should i asked for, and how to detect whether it was a fake labor or not. Since it was my first pregnancy, hubs was really caring and attentive towards me. He was with me through out my pregnancy period, never did he leave me alone. In fact, i was blessed that he followed to everyone checkups i have with the Ob-gyn.
Talking about Ob-gyn, here comes the doctors and hospitals story. You guys might think I'm crazy but yes, I went to 4 different doctors for Adrian. Paranoia much? hahaha yes Adrian, thats how much mummy was scared that you are not doing well inside. I went to 4 different hospital with 4 different doctors and all of them are famous doctors that me and hubs had to queue for hours. Me being a typical mom, i wanted the best for my baby, so i don't mind paying extra and those long queue.
The FOUR hospitals are;
1) SJMC - Dato' Dr Siti
She's really famous. I mean like REALLY famous and good too. If you want your baby to be delivered by her, make sure you are willing to come as early as 7 am to queue. Clinics opens at 7.30am for you to take your number. Then you have to come again at 8.30 am to register and her clinic opens at 9 am and sometimes she comes in at 9.30 am. If you are lucky you'll be her first 10 patients, that wouldn't be that long of a wait though. If you are not lucky, you'll get number like 32 or so, please get ready to wait from 7 am till 3pm. Yes, that's how crazy her queue is.
But, she quite a good doctor, very positive and she doesn't scare you for unnecessary stuff. Some doctors are able to talk you through c-section just cause they wanna make money. So, careful!
2) DEMC - Dr Maziah
I was browsing the net, comparing the price to give birth, of cos i'll opt for the good place, good doctor and good price. I found out that, DEMC is only charging RM 2,200.00 for normal delivery and it includes charges for babies as well. I was overwhelmed with the price, that i straight away made an appointment with them. I wanted to see Dr Norleen but was fully booked. I had no other choice but to choose the 2nd best doctor over there, Dr Maziah, she's an expert in problematic pregnancies, so I thought its a good things since I've had early contraction before this, when i was in my 6th month.
The nurse called us in her room, she scanned me and her equipments are way better than Dato Siti. All very hi-tech. After the scan, she asked what kind of delivery i wanted, normal or c-section. I told her that I want a normal birth, she nodded. Then, she proceeded saying that she have to induce me the next week, and my baby was having not enough oxygen and my placenta is maturing too fast.
Hubby and me was really shocked because all this while we have been checking up with Dato Siti and she never mention all this. Then i asked her, is it possible for you to induce me at this stage, and she said it would be risky if want to have normal delivery, but we'll try, if you cant then we'll have to proceed with c- section. This means that I will end up paying for normal delivery charges and all c-section charges. I almost said yes to her because I was really scared that Adrian is not safe inside. Before i could answer to her, she told me that she'll send me for CTG test, to check, and she'll SEE us again after the CTG.
I went it to the CTG room, they plugged in all the necessary on my tummy and i have to wait for 15 minutes or so. Bear in mind, i have been doing CTGs like forever since my pregnancy was prone to a pre-mature birth, so they need to monitor me.Every visits in SJMC i have to do CTGs.
After waiting for 5 minutes, I noticed that i can't hear Adrian's heartbeats, this means its not located properly on my stomach, called hubby to inform them. The nurse came and she just change my position and she said,' ok wait 5 more minutes'. That means the CTG was only done for 5 minutes, what can you prove with a CTG of 5 minutes?
When i was done with the CTG, she brought that results to the Dr and here we thought that we have to go and see her again, as she will explain to us, because that what Dato Siti did. Suddenly, the nurse came back saying, ' Doctor suruh balik, semua ok'. I was like what the fuck?! you told me that i need to get induce tomorrow and now you say that i can go home, everything's fine. Hubby was really pissed with that.
Oh yes, and its not cheap, we had to pay RM 320.00 before leaving. Damn it!
3) Ipoh Specialist Centre - Dr Adlan/ Dr Nagara
That week I was back in Ipoh. Everything was just normal, my next checkup was in 2 weeks times with Dato Siti. I thought everything was fine. Slept off quite early as i was really tired. Suddenly that night at about 5.30 am i had this serious cramping pain at my lower abdomen and i thought it was stomachache. Called hubby up and he was sleepy and groggy, told him to give me hot water bag so that i can put on my stomach, he went back to sleep, and here i am fighting with the pain.
At 7 am called my sister and told her about it, she said that its contraction, so she told us to get to the hospital, as soon as possible. We are in Ipoh and who else do we go to if its not Dr Adlan or Dr Nagara. At about 9 am, we registered and opt for Dr Adlan.
Told him about what i experienced and he did the cervix checks. He says cervix are close, the he opens a medication book infront of me, to prescribed a medication for me. At that point I was like, what the hell? He used to be one of the good doctors in Ipoh. He diagnosed me with colic, jab me with painkillers for abdomen pain and sent me off for CTG. this was funny because, of cos you wont she any contraction, i was already jab with the painkillers. And yeah then, Adlan said that he has an operation, so once i'm done with CTG please bring it to Nagara for review.
Met Nagara, the doctor who delivered me :) He was all nice and said the CTG was fine and told me to have a proper check up with my gynae in KL.
Off we went to KL that day, to see Dato Siti, and yes i really had contraction and its not COLIC!
4) Damansara Specialist Centre - Dr Susanna Huam
You've read regarding my experience in DEMC, right after the doctor shoo us away, we then went to Damansara Specialist, this is because i wanted second opinion and yes, i was worried at that time. SJMC will take forever to meet Dato Siti since it was already 2 pm at that time and her queue is really ridiculous.
I already have MRN no here since I came for checkups here before my pregnancy. Susanna did a check on me, scan and all, she then explained that, my placenta is fine. It is supposed to mature when I'm in my third trimester, but it is not as bad as doing a c-section. She told me to relax and come again in 2 weeks time to see how it goes and to check my amniotic fluid. Yeap, I've had contractions, and my amniotic fluid dries up fast. Pity mummy's boy inside!
Thats how we choose our Hospital, Damansara Specialist Hospital, the baby friendly hospital!
